I grew up in a home filled with music, love, and creativity just outside Downtown Minneapolis. My father — a lifelong musician who still writes songs and plays several instruments taught me early the things worth doing, are the things you can't help but do. That creative wiring shaped how I see almost everything today.
At 13, my dream was to become a professional skateboarder and live by the ocean in Southern California. I was lucky enough to be recognized as a young amateur on the rise and was sponsored by Zumiez Skateboard Shops, and spent my weekends chasing the next trick. Skateboarding gave me direction as a young kid who didn't play traditional sports. One of the best things about skateboarding is you don't need anyone else to practice or enjoy it — it's less a sport and more a lifestyle.
One summer, I started caddying at a country club and It completely changed my life. The members I met became unexpected mentors, teaching me about business, mindset, and the value of working with purpose. It was the first time I understood that your environment impacts your life — and that a life beyond my wildest dreams isn't a fantasy, it's just a function of the people you surround yourself with.
After high school, I moved to Palm Springs California to work at a private golf club where every member owned a home inside the gates. Each property was a masterpiece — custom-built, full of character and intention. That's when it clicked for me: real estate wasn't just an address. It was art and lifestyle, all in one.
In 2008, I took my life savings of $6,000 and moved back to Minneapolis. I had a mindset that failure is not an option, and success is my destiny. I wanted to build a real life from nothing. I knocked on doors, put fliers up in coffee shots, held open houses, and did everything possible to meet more people. A mentor told me "Work like you don't need the sale, just focus on becoming the best you can be and when it's time, you fearlessly negotiate the absolute best terms possible for the client, and completely remove your own interest from the situation." That advice became my North Star and still is.
A few years later, I took the show on the road and I moved to New York City. I worked for a boutique brokerage called Town Residential, and officed both in their SoHo and West Village office. New York taught me how the best in the world operate in business — with relentless preparation, excellent knowledge, and to strive to exceed expectations and standards. When I returned to Minneapolis, I took my knowledge of the market and implemented what I learned. I began buying and renovating turn of the century homes myself, putting my artistic eye into every detail. These projects sharpened how I see property, and the level of detail and quality.
In late 2020, I was ready for a big challenge and hit the road for the Lone Star State. Texas was growing fast, and there was energy and excitement in the market. I developed a hand selected group of agents and began operating and successfully selling in Dallas and Austin. Dallas felt like home almost immediately, and it's where I'm based and continue working in both markets with my team. I was then invited to merge my business and further develop my business within the Walsh Wegman & Giordano team. It made perfect sense to combine so we can all grow, and most importantly deliver the absolute best experience for our clients, and developers we are lucky enough to work for and advise. Together, we've closed over $426,000,000 in sales across the Texas markets we serve.
How I Work
My niche isn't a price point or a neighborhood — it's people. I have a rule in business: if we wouldn't get along over dinner, we're probably not right to work together. My focus is always extreme dedication when advising my clients. They put an incredible amount of trust into my abilities, and I need to always exceed expectations in today's competitive world. The clients I work for aren't transactions, they're relationships I value and so many people I've worked with in the past have truly become family.
Outside the Work
When I'm not working, I'm with my absolute sweet dog Rosie. She's my three-year-old English Labrador. She's my second dog after rescuing my first dog Tori through Lizzy's Hospice Dog Adoption, a charity I continue to support. When Tori came into my life we knew we didn't have much time. I decided the only option was to give her a life beyond her wildest dreams. She quickly became everyone's favorite dog, and came with me to most of my client appointments and events. I wanted to make sure she felt the love she deserved, and her spirit continues to this day. She taught me so many life lessons I thank her everyday for all of her love and companionship. Please consider supporting Lizzy's Hospice Dog Adoption, there are many Tori's out there that need a loving home.
Lastly, I'm also still chasing a few dreams that aren't directly connected to my real estate sales business. Someday, I want to open an art gallery supporting up-and-coming contemporary artists who create in multiple mediums. Art is such an incredible and special part of our lives, and it's important to help provide guidance and a platform for artists to begin and shine. And somewhere down the road, a small hotel is also in the works. In my mind art, hospitality, and real estate all do the same thing. They create spaces that move people, tell stories, and reflect who we are.
The rest is still being written, one home and one person at a time.
